Attorney Richard Arsenault moderated three panels at the Mass Torts Puerto Rico symposium May 4-5, 2023. This symposium brought together world class experts to make connections with some of the most outstanding and highly respected trial lawyers in the country. Richard moderated Critical Tools for Navigating Mass Torts Parts 1 and 2. Part one explored multi-plaintiff and bellwether trials, inventory settlements, and federal state coordination among other topics. Part 2 covered direct filing, pro hac admissions, Special Masters, bundling, and more. The third panel moderated by Richard was Exit Strategies, which among other topics such as the Special Master’s role, the allocation process, and dealing with private and governmental liens.

Richard was also asked by Judge Heyburn, JPML Chair, to participate in the Panel’s “Multidistrict Litigation Study Project”. He has personally participated in negotiating over $3.5 billion in complex litigation settlements in the last five years.
