You Pay Nothing Unless You Win

The Product Failed. Here’s What You’re Owed
You used the product the way it was meant to be used. It failed anyway, and now you’re dealing with the injury, the bills, and the disruption to your life. Louisiana law gives you the right to hold the company responsible — whoever designed it, built it, or sold it. We fight to get you everything the law allows.
Here’s what that may include:
Medical Bills
Emergency treatment, surgeries, hospital stays, medication, and any future care your injury requires.
Lost Pay from Work
The money you didn’t earn because you were too hurt to work, or had to miss time for treatment and recovery.
Pain and Suffering
Money for your physical pain, the emotional pain of a preventable injury, and the life your injuries have taken from you.
Property Damage
Repair or replacement of defective equipment, vehicles, or property damaged by the defective product itself.
Punitive Damages
Louisiana law may allow an award of additional damages when a manufacturer knowingly sold a dangerous product or ignored known risks. We fight to make sure that’s on the table.
Long-Term Losses
If your injuries mean you can’t return to your old job or you’ll need care for the rest of your life, we fight to make sure you’re compensated for that too.
What to Do After a Defective Product Injury
Taking these steps can protect both your health and your case:
1. Get Medical Help
See a doctor immediately. Your health comes first, and your medical records document the injuries the defective product caused.
2. Keep the Product
Don’t repair, discard, or return the product if at all possible. The item itself — and its packaging, manual, or receipt — is often the most important evidence in a defective products claim.
3. Document Everything
Take photos and videos of the product, how it failed, the scene, and your injuries. Write down exactly what happened while it’s fresh.
4. Call Us
Manufacturers move fast to protect themselves once a claim is made. We get involved immediately to preserve evidence and build the strongest possible case.

Why We’re Different
We Know What You’re Up Against
Manufacturers, distributors, and their insurers have teams dedicated to minimizing compensation, even when their product was clearly defective and caused injury. They’ll dispute how the failure happened, delay your claim, and hope you’ll settle for less than you deserve. We’ve spent over 40 years learning how to defeat those tactics in Louisiana Courts.
We Get Results
We’ve recovered over $10 billion for Our Clients by building cases that win. In defective product cases, that means bringing in industry experts to prove exactly how and why the product failed — and pursuing every avenue available to make sure you walk away fully compensated.
We Actually Care About Your Recovery
Being hurt by a product you trusted to work safely is violating and traumatic. You’re dealing with injuries, bills, the inability to work, and the knowledge that this was preventable. We treat you like family, handle the legal fight, and make sure the company responsible is held fully accountable.
Common Questions About Louisiana Defective Product Cases
What counts as a “defective” product?
A product can be defective in its design, in how it was manufactured, or because it lacked adequate warnings or instructions. All three can be grounds for a claim.
Can I sue if I wasn’t the one who bought the product?
Yes. You don’t have to be the purchaser to have a claim — you or a loved one just have to have been injured by the defect while using the product as intended, or in a reasonably foreseeable way.
What if the product has already been recalled?
A recall can support your case, but you may still have a claim even without one. Many defective products cause injuries long before a recall is ever issued. Many products that cause injuries may be outside of a known model or year of production, but fail in the same way as those products subject to the recall. We investigate these issues quickly to determine the basis and scope of any recalls for the defective products which caused you injury.
Do I have to pay you upfront?
No. We work on a contingency fee basis. You pay nothing unless you win your case.
Is this a claim against the store where I bought it, or the manufacturer?
It can be either, or both, depending on how the product failed, where the product was made, and where the product was purchased. These claims are often pursued under the procedures of the Louisiana Products Liability Act (“LPLA”-La. R.S. 9:2800.51, et seq). Under Louisiana law, the LPLA is often the exclusive remedy against the manufacturer of a defective product that causes injury to the user of the product.
We’ll investigate the full chain — manufacturer, distributor, and seller — to hold all potentially responsible parties accountable for your injuries.
How long will my case take?
Defective product cases are complex and often involve preliminary investigations, inspections, product testing, investigating consumer reports, and the discovery of documents. All cases are different depending on the facts of how the injury occurred. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
