The Legal Difference - Feed The Teachers & Jambalaya

Every Thursday, Neblett, Beard & Arsenault attorneys appear on a special segment of Good Day Cenla – The Legal Difference – to talk about frequently asked questions regarding legal matters, community involvement, and more! You can tune in to KALB every Tuesday at 11am CT to watch the show live. If you miss it, you can find all the episodes on our website, or check out our Facebook page!

This week, Wes brings his family's jambalaya recipe with him to the set of Good Day Cenla. Wes shares his love of cooking with Mark Hamblen as he preps the ingredients. Growing up in a traditional rural Louisiana home, food was important to his family and they often spent their meals around the dinner table. Food is what brings his family together for quality time and enjoying each other's company. Our firm gets many requests from nonprofit organizations to purchase plate lunches or their fundraisers, and when determining how best to help the community through these lunches, we decided to serve them to the faculty and staff of Rapides Parish. After all, cooking and serving a meal is important to Wes, and he thought it was the perfect way to show our appreciation for everything teachers do for our children. We're also able to help our local nonprofit organizations by purchasing the lunches through them. We've so far fed over 600 teachers, and plan to feed 1,000 by the end of 2019!

After the jambalaya was done, Wes served it to all of our friends at KALB for a delicious Cajun-style lunch!
