The Legal Difference - Estimates and Repairs, Part 2

Every Thursday, Neblett, Beard & Arsenault attorneys appear on a special segment of Good Day Cenla – The Legal Difference – to talk about frequently asked questions regarding legal matters, community involvement, and more! You can tune in to KALB every Tuesday at 11am CT to watch the show live. If you miss it, you can find all the episodes on our website, or check out our Facebook page!

On this week's episode of The Legal Difference, attorney Wes Gralapp continues his discussion on estimates and repairs after an accident. Wes starts with license plates, and reminds viewers to turn it in to the Motor Vehicle Department if your car is totaled. If your vehicle is totaled but you want to keep it, you can be compensated for the salvage value, which is the amount a junkyard would pay for the parts. Once the vehicle is repaired and roadworthy, you can obtain a salvage title to drive it legally. The new title must be notarized properly to ensure it is a legal document. Our firm performs notary services, and we are happy to do so for the public. Wes also discusses the different types of paperwork involved in a salvage vehicle, such as power of attorney and Property Damage Only releases, both of which our firm can assist with for our clients.
