The Legal Difference - Car Insurance in Louisiana

Every Thursday, Neblett, Beard & Arsenault attorneys appear on a special segment of Good Day Cenla – The Legal Difference – to talk about frequently asked questions regarding legal matters, community involvement, and more! You can tune in to KALB every Tuesday at 11am CT to watch the show live. If you miss it, you can find all the episodes on our website, or check out our Facebook page!

This week, attorney Mike Koch kicks off the discussion by explaining the "No Pay No Play" law in Louisiana. The purpose of the law was to lower the state's insurance prices, as Louisiana has one of the highest rates in the country due to the large number of uninsured motorists on the road. Mike explains how policy limits come into play if an uninsured driver is involved in an accident, as well as what they may be liable for. Mike also speaks about the different levels of insurance coverage, and how minimum coverage applies to compensation if you're in an accident.
