Neblett, Beard & Arsenault sponsors Funktoberfest to help raise funds for Instruments A Comin’ Alexandria to present local schools with musical instruments.

The Cenla community gathers in front of the Funktoberfest stage as a volunteer announces a thank you to all of the sponsors, including NBA, just before another band is set to perform.

For the second year in a row Neblett, Beard & Arsenault was a Krewe of Da Funk sponsor for Spirits Funktoberfest.  Funktoberfest is family-friendly outdoor craft beer and music festival hosted at Spirits Food & Friends in Alexandria, LA. 100% of proceeds are donated to the Tipitina’s Foundation Instruments A Comin’ program, which puts musical instruments in the hands of local Central Louisiana students. Last year, the non-profit festival raised over $9,000 that was given to the Instruments A Comin’ program, that was in turn used to purchase musical instruments for the band program at Alexandria Middle Magnet School.

This year, Spirits owner Lee Gwinn said that coupled with last year’s contributions, Funktoberfest has raised over $25,000. This year, the Funktoberfest stage hosted 6 popular artists, including The Delta Saints, Elliot Root, Los Colones, and the Cenla Brass Band. Local and regional professional brewers had over 20 tents set up showcasing samples of their best craft beer made from micro-breweries. Funkoberfest official said this about Neblett, Beard & Arsenault when announcing as a sponsor during the event,” As soon as we put out our press release announcing our need for sponsors, Neblett, Beard & Arsenault wasted no time getting on top of it, ready and willing to again be a sponsor.”
