Attorney Richard Arsenault, recognized as one of America's 50 Most Influential Trial Lawyers by Trial Lawyer magazine, will be co-chairing the 2018 HarrisMartin MDL Conference: ‘Bet-the-Company’ Mass Tort Litigation Symposium on May 30th, 2018. While Complex litigation is a macrocosm of individual litigation, it requires a considerably different skill set. The increased risk often leaves unchartered waters in its wake. It's often “bet the company” litigation for all sides. Managing chaos (and sometimes creating it) becomes an important asset. All of this is superimposed on unique and challenging ethical conundrums.
The symposium brings attorneys together to discuss recent developments in complex litigation, ethical standards, and discussions from the lawyers who are litigating some of the most significant cases in the country.
This year’s conference will focus on Talcum Powder Litigation, The Opioid Crisis, and Data Breach Litigation. Other topics include: “Game-Changing Complex Litigation Developments,” “Facebook Breach – Is Anyone’s Data Safe?”, and “Key Mass Tort Litigation.”
Neblett, Beard and Arsenault attorneys Dustin Carter, Dawn Chmielewski and Todd Campbell will also be speaking at the conference. Dustin Carter will speak on "Game-Changing Complex Litigation Developments." Dawn Chmielewski will discuss “Framing Jury Themes for Women’s Health Litigation,” and Todd Campell will be speaking on “Ethics Associated with Complex Litigation.”
In September, Richard Arsenault will also be chairing similar symposiums hosted in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, and New Orleans, LA.
