Fosamax

fosamax, osteonecrosis of jaw, jaw death, product liability
Fosamax is a drug commonly prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis and for the management of advanced cancers. Unfortunately, this popular drug has been linked to osteonecrosis of the jaw. This "jaw death" often appears after minor trauma, such as a tooth extraction. The American Association of Endodontists recently released a Position Paper that cautions that many patients who take Fosamax may be at risk for this terrible problem.
